What does this fault code mean?
The code for cylinder 4 is set when the signal to the injector is incorrect. The cause may be a break in the signal wire or a damaged injector.
Possible causes
- Open circuit on the signal wire
- Damaged injectors
What you can do
- 1If you have a diagnostic tool: activate injector cylinder 4 and check that it operates
- 2Check that the connector to cylinder 4 is firmly seated and clean
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire to cylinder 4 is intact, with the engine control module connector disconnected
- 4Look at the wire to cylinder 4 for loose clips and damage
- 5If you find no fault: have a workshop check the injector
