What does this fault code mean?
The ECM cannot store the immobilizer code in its memory. Because the code is not stored, it cannot be checked against the CEM, so the engine does not start.
Possible causes
- Damaged engine control module (ECM)
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact and that the connectors to the engine control module are secure.
- 2If the code appears directly after a software update, the update has failed and must be repeated. Have a workshop do this.
- 3If the code appears after the car has been in use for some time, this points to a damaged engine control module (ECM). It then needs replacing, which a workshop does.
Symptoms you may notice1
- The engine does not start
