What does this fault code mean?
This code covers several injectors in bank 1 and is set when the engine control module detects that the signal to them is too high. The cause can be wiring to the injectors shorted to supply voltage, damaged injectors, or an internal fault in the module.
Possible causes
- Short to supply voltage in the wiring to the injectors
- Damaged injectors
- Short to supply voltage inside the engine control module (ECM)
- Internal fault inside the ECM
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact.
- 2Look for chafed wires and pinch damage on the wiring to the injectors in bank 1.
- 3Have a workshop check whether any of the wires has contact with voltage, as the measurement is made with the ignition on.
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool, activate the injectors one at a time and listen whether every one of them clicks.
- 5If the fault returns, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the injectors and the control module.
Symptoms you may notice4
- The engine does not start, and when the fault shows is unclear
- Poor performance, the car lacks power
- The engine stalls
- The engine does not turn over, with or without a clicking sound at a start attempt
What the fault can affect1
- Injection stops
