What does this fault code mean?
Here the signal to the injectors in bank 2 is too high when the engine control module checks it. This can be caused by a short to supply voltage in the wiring, by damaged injectors, or by an internal fault in the module, including a short to supply voltage inside it.
Possible causes
- Short to supply voltage in the wiring to the injectors
- Damaged injectors
- Short to supply voltage inside the engine control module (ECM)
- Internal fault inside the ECM
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact.
- 2Check that the connectors at the injectors in bank 2 are secure and not corroded.
- 3Look for chafed wires or pinch damage on the wiring to the injectors in bank 2, where they could have touched supply voltage.
- 4Have a workshop measure whether the wiring has contact with voltage, as the measurement is made with the ignition on.
- 5If the wiring is undamaged, have a workshop check the injectors in bank 2 and the control module with diagnostic equipment.
Symptoms you may notice1
- The engine does not start, and when the fault shows is unclear
What the fault can affect1
- Injection stops
