What does this fault code mean?
The code is set when the signal to the injectors in bank 2 is absent. This can be caused by an open circuit in the wiring to the injectors, by damaged injectors, or by an internal fault in the control module.
Possible causes
- Open circuit in the wiring to the injectors
- Damaged injectors
- Internal fault inside the ECM
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact. The locations are in the owner's manual or on the fuse box cover.
- 2Check the connectors to the injectors in bank 2 so they are secure and clean.
- 3Look for broken or pinched wires to the injectors in bank 2.
- 4With the ignition off, use a multimeter to check that the wire to the injectors in bank 2 is not broken.
- 5If the fault comes back, have a workshop check the injectors in bank 2 and the control module with diagnostic equipment.
Symptoms you may notice1
- The engine does not start, and when the fault shows is unclear
What the fault can affect1
- Injection stops
