What does this fault code mean?
This is an event-controlled information code. It does not indicate a fault in the engine control module but is intended as information, and it disappears by itself when the conditions no longer apply. The module verifies the camshaft's position against the crankshaft's position. The fault can be due to a camshaft set incorrectly after a timing belt change, a camshaft fitted wrongly, or a damaged camshaft.

- Incorrectly adjusted camshaft after timing belt replacement
- Incorrectly installed camshaft
- Damaged camshaft
What you can do
- 1This is a knock-on fault. Deal with any other fault codes first.
- 2If the timing belt was recently replaced, the camshaft position may be wrong. Have a workshop check it.
- 3The code does not need clearing in advance. It disappears when the conditions no longer apply.
- 4If the code is still present once the other faults are dealt with, have a workshop check the camshaft.
