What does this fault code mean?
The central electronic module (CEM) detects a fault on the ejector part of the fuel level sensor and sends a fault message to the engine control module (ECM), which then sets the code. The code is therefore a knock-on fault, and the root fault is in the CEM.
Possible causes
- The cause of the fault is in the central electronic module (CEM)
What you can do
- 1Read the codes in the central electronic module (CEM), because the root fault is stored there.
- 2Remedy the root fault in the CEM and then clear the code there.
- 3Then clear the code in the engine control module (ECM). It cannot be cleared until the root fault has been remedied.
- 4If nothing is found in the CEM, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the ejector part of the fuel level sensor and its wiring.
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
