What does this fault code mean?
The code concerns the adjustment of the position sensor for the turbo guide vanes. It is the learned limit for the open position that is outside what is permitted, and the engine control module (ECM) checks it with the engine running. The code can be a knock-on fault from another turbo fault, in which case that fault is traced first. The cause can also be a damaged turbocharger.

- Knock-on fault from a fault detected by another trouble code test for the turbo and/or turbo control
- Troubleshoot according to another trouble code
- Damaged turbocharger
What you can do
- 1Deal with other turbo fault codes first, since this code may depend on them.
- 2Check that the connectors at the position sensor are secure and free from corrosion.
- 3Have a workshop check the adjustment of the position sensor with diagnostic equipment, as adjustment needs workshop equipment.
- 4If the adjustment is in order, have a workshop check the turbocharger.
