What does this fault code mean?
The code is set if the engine control module (ECM) detects that the air conditioning is active, or is switched on, during the ECM's own self-test.
Possible causes
- The air conditioning is active during the engine control module's self-test
What you can do
- 1Switch off the air conditioning when you start the engine, and keep it off for a while before checking whether the code returns.
- 2Clear the code, then start the engine without the air conditioning switched on. Read the code again with the engine running.
- 3If the code returns even though the air conditioning is off, have a workshop check the control module's self-test and how the air conditioning is controlled.
