What does this fault code mean?
The code is event controlled, which means it is an information code and does not show a fault in the engine control module. The engine control module (ECM) sets the code if the engine speed has been outside the limit for engine stall. It does not indicate a fault that needs correcting, and it disappears when the conditions no longer apply.
Possible causes
- The code can be set without any fault needing correction
What you can do
- 1Check that the engine runs smoothly at idle. If it does, no action is needed for the code.
- 2Clear the code and run the engine at idle for a while. If the code does not return, it is gone.
- 3If the code returns together with uneven idle, have a workshop check the idle speed control.
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
