What does this fault code mean?
The fuel system and its components are monitored by the engine control module (ECM). The code is set when a signal from an injection valve is wrong, and it is the valves and their connections that should be checked.
Possible causes
- The injection valves are damaged or of the wrong type
What you can do
- 1If the injection valves have been replaced recently, have a workshop check that they are the right type for the car.
- 2Check the connectors at the injection valves for looseness, contact resistance and corrosion.
- 3With the ignition off, use a multimeter to check that the wires between the injection valves are not shorted to each other or to ground.
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool, activate the injection valves one at a time and listen for them working.
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop check the injection valves and the fuel system.

- The engine hesitates, surges or runs unevenly, and this may be noticeable all the time or only now and then
