What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module (ECM) monitors its own internal components and takes in data from the transmission control unit (TCM) via the CAN bus. The code is set when a fault in the communication section is detected, and the fault lies in the engine control module itself. A text message may be shown in the display.
Possible causes
- Fault inside the engine control module (ECM) itself
What you can do
- 1Check whether other fault codes for the fuel system are stored in the engine control module, and correct them first.
- 2Clear the fault code and drive the car for a while. If it does not return, it is gone.
- 3If the fault remains after clearing, have a workshop check the engine control module and replace it if needed.
