What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module (ECM) monitors its internal components and continuously takes in data from the transmission control unit (TCM) via the CAN bus. The code is set when the engine control module detects a fault in the communication section, and the cause is an internal malfunction in the engine control module.
Possible causes
- Fault inside the engine control module (ECM) itself
What you can do
- 1Clear the fault code and drive the car for a while. If it does not return, it is gone.
- 2Check whether other fault codes for the fuel system are stored in the engine control module, and correct them first.
- 3If the fault returns after clearing, have a workshop replace the engine control module.
