What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module (ECM) monitors the signals from the control modules it communicates with. The code is event-driven and purely informational, and does not show a fault in the control module where it is active. Registering it makes the engine control module restart, which can make the cabin light flicker and the instrument lighting go out briefly.
Possible causes
- The engine control module (ECM) has restarted
What you can do
- 1No specific troubleshooting exists for this code
- 2Read off the fault codes and check whether any other code is also stored
- 3If the code returns without any other symptoms, no action is needed. Have a workshop read off the code if you are unsure
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
What the fault can affect1
- The cabin light may flicker and the instrument lighting may go out briefly
