What does this fault code mean?
The control module (ECM) has logged an internal fault in its lambda sensor control, bank 1. The fault concerns the control module's own part of the lambda control.
Possible causes
- A damaged engine control module (ECM)
What you can do
- 1Read off the fault codes and note which are present
- 2Check that the connectors and wiring to the lambda sensors are firmly seated and not chafed
- 3Clear the fault code, switch the ignition on and wait a while so the control module can run its test
- 4If the fault returns: have a workshop replace the engine control module (ECM)
Symptoms you may notice1
- The check engine lamp lights or behaves abnormally
