What does this fault code mean?
The control module (ECM) has logged an internal fault in its lambda sensor control, bank 1. Although the code is described as a bus or message fault, the condition concerns the control module's own function.
Possible causes
- A damaged engine control module (ECM)
What you can do
- 1Inspect the wiring and connectors to the lambda sensors for damage and loose connections
- 2Read off the fault codes and note which are present before clearing any
- 3If the fault returns after the code has been cleared: have a workshop replace the engine control module (ECM)
Symptoms you may notice1
- The check engine lamp lights or behaves abnormally
General guidance for car owners. Diagnosis on the car can point to a different cause.
