What does this fault code mean?
The control module (ECM) has logged an internal fault in its lambda control. Although the code is described as an erratic signal, the condition concerns the control module's own function. The code does not indicate a more specific cause.
Possible causes
- Internal fault in the control module (ECM)
What you can do
- 1Read off the fault code status and note which codes are present
- 2Clear the fault code, switch the ignition on and wait a while so the control module can run its test
- 3Check that the fault code is no longer active when the test has finished. If it is gone, the fault may have been temporary
- 4If the fault code returns: have a workshop replace the engine control module (ECM)
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
