What does this fault code mean?
The injector data should be available to the engine control module, but the fault code is set when the control module can no longer read it over the LIN bus. The fault therefore concerns communication with the injectors and not the fuel itself.
Possible causes
- LIN communication between the injector and the control module is not working
- Internal fault in the injector
What you can do
- 1Read off the fault codes and note whether any other codes are stored
- 2Check that the connectors to the injectors are firmly seated and clean
- 3If the fault code returns: have a workshop check the injector and the LIN wiring to it
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
What the fault can affect1
- The control module uses the most recently used value from the injector
