What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module (ECM) receives the injector data over the LIN bus. The fault code is set when messages from an injector are missing, meaning the communication between the control module and the injector is absent. The most recently used injector data is used instead.
Possible causes
- LIN communication between the injector and the control module is not working
- Internal fault in the injector
What you can do
- 1Read off the fault codes and note which are present
- 2Check that the connectors to the injectors are firmly seated and free from oxide
- 3Clear the fault code and take the car for a short drive. Read off the fault codes again afterwards
- 4If the fault code returns: have a workshop check the injector
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
What the fault can affect1
- The control module uses the most recently used value from the injector
