What does this fault code mean?
The ECM follows the swirl damper motor. Although the code is named circuit high, it applies to the signal from the learning of the swirl damper motor's open end position, which is incorrect. The fault can only be detected once the test has started and a drive has been made.
Possible causes
- The swirl damper jams or has stuck
- Defective swirl damper motor
- Damaged swirl damper arm
- The end stop for the swirl damper is damaged
What you can do
- 1Check that the swirl damper moves freely and is not jammed
- 2Look over the swirl damper arm and end stop for damage and loose parts
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool: activate the swirl damper motor and see whether it reaches its open end position
- 4If the fault remains, have a workshop check the swirl damper motor and carry out a new learning of the open end position
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
