What does this fault code mean?
The code concerns an incorrect calculation made during the adaptation of the swirl damper position. The engine control module sets it when that adaptation is judged wrong, and the test is made with the engine switched off.
Possible causes
- Linkage or swirl damper sticking
- Damaged linkage between the swirl throttle motor and the swirl duct
- Swirl throttle motor sticking
What you can do
- 1Check whether the link arm to the swirl duct has come loose
- 2Check that the swirl damper linkage and swirl duct are not sticking or damaged
- 3Check that the swirl throttle motor is not sticking or damaged
- 4Clear the code only once the mechanics have been checked, then see whether it comes back
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
