What does this fault code mean?
The ECM checks whether the swirl throttle has reached its end positions. The code is set when that check fails, and the test is made with the engine switched off.
Possible causes
- Control arm has come loose from the swirl damper motor or the swirl damper duct
- Damaged linkage between the swirl throttle motor and the swirl throttle duct
What you can do
- 1Check that the link arm to the swirl duct is still attached to the swirl damper motor
- 2Look for damage to the linkage between the swirl damper motor and the swirl duct
- 3Make sure the swirl damper motor moves easily and is not damaged
- 4Clear the code only once the linkage has been checked and remedied
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
