What does this fault code mean?
This is an event-controlled information code. It does not mean that the control module where it is active has a fault; it is there for information. The code shows that a message from the central electronic module (CEM) about the accelerator pedal signal or the CAN communication has reached the engine control module. If the code is on its own, there is no fault that needs fixing.
Possible causes
- This code does not stem from a fault needing action, unless another fault code is set alongside it
- The fault the message refers to is in the central electronic module (CEM)
What you can do
- 1Read the fault codes in both the engine control module and the central electronic module (CEM) and see whether this code is on its own
- 2If it is on its own there is no fault to fix, because there is no fault-tracing for this code itself
- 3If another fault code is stored with it, fix that one first, starting with the faults in CEM
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool and other codes are present, read the accelerator pedal value in live data and check that it follows the pedal movement
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
