What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module (ECM) checks the injectors in group C and the voltage supply to the output stages that drive them. The code is set when the signal is incorrect, here with a supply voltage that is too low. The code points to an internal fault in the engine control module.
Possible causes
- Internal fault in the engine control module
What you can do
- 1Check that the battery is in good condition and that the battery terminals are tight, since this code concerns the voltage supply
- 2Check that the fuses are intact; their locations are in the owner's manual or on the fuse box cover
- 3Check the connectors at the engine control module and at the group C injectors for loose connections and oxidation
- 4With a diagnostic tool, activate the group C injectors and listen for them working in step
- 5Erase the code and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 6Have a workshop with diagnostic equipment decide whether the engine control module is faulty, since the code can be caused by an internal fault
Symptoms you may notice1
- The malfunction indicator lamp lights up or behaves abnormally
