What does this fault code mean?
This is an event-controlled information code. It does not mean that the control module where it is active has a fault; it is there for information. The code is set when the fuel to air ratio is wrong, and it disappears by itself once the conditions no longer apply.
Possible causes
- The code is caused by another fault code stored in the engine control module
What you can do
- 1Read the fault codes in the engine control module first, since this code is a follow-on fault to others
- 2Fix the other fault codes first; this code does not need to be dealt with separately
- 3Do not erase this code, since it disappears when the conditions no longer apply
- 4Road test the car after the repair and see whether any code returns
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
General guidance for car owners. Diagnosis on the car can point to a different cause.
