What does this fault code mean?
The module monitors its built-in atmospheric pressure sensor. The code is set when that sensor's signal is faulty, here too low, and the fault lies in the control module itself.
Possible causes
- Damaged engine control module (ECM)
What you can do
- 1Read the code, note it and clear it. Then drive the car and read again to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the fuses for the engine control are intact
- 3If the code returns, or the fault is permanent, the engine control module should be replaced. Have a workshop do it
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
What the fault can affect1
- The engine control uses a fixed fallback value for normal sea-level air pressure instead
