What does this fault code mean?
This is an event-controlled information code, so it does not point to a fault in the control module. The ECM sets it when the oil level passes a set point either way, and it is informational only.
Possible causes
- No fault that needs remedying causes this; the code is informational.
What you can do
- 1Check the oil level with the dipstick. If it is correct, the code may be a pure information code
- 2If you have a diagnostic tool, read the oil level value in live data with the engine running and compare it with the dipstick
- 3If you are unsure of the oil level, have a workshop check it
