What does this fault code mean?
Although the code is named refrigerant pressure sensor B, it applies to a missing CAN signal from the climate control module for the A/C on/off button in the passenger compartment. The engine control module monitors the A/C system and its components. The cause is a fault on the CAN bus between the ECM and the climate control module.
Possible causes
- Fault on the CAN bus between the ECM and the climate control module (CCM)
What you can do
- 1Check that the relevant fuses are intact
- 2Check that the A/C button in the cabin works and that you can switch the air conditioning on and off
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool, read the fault status with the ignition on and see whether communication faults are present
- 4Check that the connectors at the engine control module and the climate control module are secure and free from oxidation
- 5If the fault remains after these checks, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the CAN communication
