What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module continuously monitors its internal components and functions. The code is stored when the control module detects an internal fault in itself, which means the module is the source of the fault.
Possible causes
- Damaged engine control module
What you can do
- 1Read the fault status with the engine running. If the code is not active, the fault may have been intermittent
- 2Restart the engine and see whether the fault returns
- 3Clear the code and road test the car to see whether it comes back
- 4If the fault returns, the engine control module must be replaced, which a workshop does
