What does this fault code mean?
The ECM monitors the ignition position and the voltage levels at the inputs for the 15 and 50 supply. The code is stored when the ignition is in the start position but the ECM has never received voltage on the 15-supply input in position II. Possible causes are faulty circuits for the 15 or 50 supply.
Possible causes
- Incorrect circuit for the 15 supply
- Incorrect circuit for the 50 supply
What you can do
- 1Check that the relevant fuses are intact
- 2Check that the ignition switch works in position II and in the start position, and that it can be moved between the positions
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the 15-supply is present in position II and the 50-supply is present in the start position
- 4Check the connectors to the engine control module for contact resistance and oxidation
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop check the 15 and 50 supply circuits
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
