What does this fault code mean?
The ECM stores the code when the fuel pressure sensor reading is too high. The causes are given as a damaged low-pressure fuel pressure sensor or a damaged return valve in the low-pressure side of the fuel pump.
Possible causes
- Damaged low-pressure fuel pressure sensor
- Damaged return valve in the fuel pump, low-pressure side
What you can do
- 1Check that the relevant fuses are intact
- 2If you have a diagnostic tool, read the fuel pressure value in live data with the engine running and see whether it is unusually high
- 3Check the connector at the fuel pressure sensor for contact resistance and oxidation
- 4Have a workshop check the return valve on the low-pressure side of the fuel pump, since it is part of the fuel system
- 5If the fault remains after these checks, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the fuel pressure sensor
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
