What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module (ECM) operates the solenoid of the coolant degassing valve (Degas). The code is set when the heat in the module's output stage that activates the solenoid becomes too high.
Possible causes
- Damaged solenoid
- Damaged signal line
- Damaged connector
- Damaged engine control module (ECM)
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2Look at the connector at the solenoid: visible damage or loose contacts can cause the fault
- 3Check the signal wire for damage
- 4Have a workshop decide whether the solenoid or the engine control module is damaged
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
