What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module (ECM) should have optimizing parameters programmed that match the class of the injectors. The code is set when the module detects a fault in the fuel quantity adjustment, that is the IMA programming of the injection valves.
Possible causes
- The injectors have been programmed with an incorrect IMA code
What you can do
- 1Read the code with a diagnostic tool and check whether it is active or only stored
- 2Clear the code, start the engine and read again; if it comes back, the fault has not been fixed
- 3Tell the workshop if anything has recently been done to the fuel injection or the engine control module
- 4Have a workshop reprogram the optimizing parameters in the engine control module, since a programming that failed or was interrupted is a possible cause
