Applies to the following models:
1 modelV60 (2011–)
Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
The code belongs to the shut-off valve for the A/C, an evaporator valve for cooling. The engine control module (ECM) sets the code when the signal wire to the valve is shorted or has an open circuit, and then the air conditioning is affected.
Possible causes
- Mechanical fault on the valve
- Electrical fault on the valve
- Short circuit or open circuit in the wires to the valve
What you can do
- 1Read the code with a diagnostic tool and check whether it is active or only stored
- 2Check that the fuses are intact; their location is shown in the owner's manual
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the wires to the valve have no break
- 4With a diagnostic tool, activate the valve and see or listen whether it moves
- 5Have a workshop check the valve if the fault remains, since mechanical faults in the valve are possible causes
Symptoms you may notice3
- Temperature control or air conditioning does not work
- The combustion engine runs in HYBRID mode more often than expected
- Warning symbol and text message in the display
