What does this fault code mean?
The CEM monitors the steering wheel buttons for the cruise control and passes the data to the ECM over the CAN bus. If the CEM spots a button fault, it forwards that report to the ECM as well. The code is set when the ECM is told that the CEM has detected a fault.

- Fault in the central electronics control module (CEM)
What you can do
- 1Read the codes in the central electronics control module and fix them first. Then clear the code
- 2Check that the buttons on the steering wheel for the cruise control work and are not stuck
- 3Check the connectors at the steering wheel buttons and in the CAN network for loose or corroded contacts
- 4If the fault returns: have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the central electronics control module and the steering wheel buttons

- The cruise control does not engage

- The cruise control is switched off while the fault is active
