Applies to the following models:

Show models by year and engine (1)
What does this fault code mean?
The brake control module (BCM) sends brake pedal position information to the engine control module (ECM) over CAN. If the BCM detects a fault on the brake position sensor, it sends information about that fault to the ECM, which sets the code. Although the code is titled signal stuck low, it concerns the brake position sensor in the BCM.
Possible causes
- Fault in the brake control module (BCM)
What you can do
- 1Read the codes in the brake control module first and fix them. Then clear the code in the engine control module
- 2Check that the fuses are intact
- 3Check the CAN connections between the engine control module and the brake control module for loose or corroded contacts
- 4Do not work on the braking system yourself. If it returns: have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the brake control module and the brake position sensor
