What does this fault code mean?
The engine control module (ECM) checks the ignition when the engine is switched off. The code is set when the vehicle is standing still and the ignition has not been deactivated within a set time. It is an event-controlled code that only gives information. It disappears once the conditions no longer apply, so it does not need to be erased.
Possible causes
- Open circuit in the cable between the ignition lock control module (SCU) and the central electronic module (CEM)
- Damaged ignition lock control module (SCU)
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact.
- 2Check the connectors to the ignition lock control module and the CEM, and look for loose connectors or chafed wiring.
- 3If the code returns, have a workshop read out the fault codes and check the ignition lock control module (SCU) with diagnostic equipment.
Symptoms you may notice1

What the fault can affect1
