What does this fault code mean?
The power steering module registers that it cannot read or store data in its internal memory correctly. The cause is a damaged power steering module. The power steering then gives no assistance, or only weak assistance, at the wheel.
Possible causes
- Damaged electric power steering module (EPS)
What you can do
- 1Start the engine and read the fault code status
- 2Clear the fault code and road test to see whether it returns
- 3Power steering affects how easily the car can be steered, so have a workshop fix the fault soon
- 4If the fault code returns, have a workshop replace the electric power steering module (EPS)
