What does this fault code mean?
The control module has a built-in angle sensor at the rear axle, and it registers a signal that is faulty or does not change even though the car is moving. The fault can be caused by a mechanical connection to the rear axle that has come loose or is damaged, or by a defective angle sensor in the module. The headlamps are set to their lowest position.
Possible causes
- The mechanical link to the rear axle has worked loose or is damaged
- Defective angle sensor in the control module
What you can do
- 1With the car safely raised, check that the ball joint linking the control module to the rear axle is not loose or damaged
- 2Check that the control module is installed correctly
- 3If you have diagnostic equipment: read the angle sensor value in live data while the rear end is rocked, and check that it changes smoothly
- 4If the connection is intact, have a workshop replace and calibrate the control module
- 5Clear the fault code and check that it does not return
Symptoms you may notice1
- The headlamp motor does not respond
What the fault can affect1
