What does this fault code mean?
The front display module reads the picture feed arriving at video input 1, and the fault code is set when that feed is wrong. The cause can be a break in the signal cable or a short to earth or supply voltage. The front display then does not work.
Possible causes
- Open circuit on the signal cable
- The signal cable is shorted to earth
- The signal cable is shorted to supply voltage
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2If possible, check the display's function with the controls or on a road test to see whether the fault shows
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the signal cable to video input 1 has no break and is not shorted to earth or supply voltage
- 4Check the connectors at the display for play and oxidation
- 5Clear the fault code and road test to see whether it returns
- 6If the wiring is intact, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the signal from the connected unit
Symptoms you may notice1
