What does this fault code mean?
Although the fault is named display lower, it concerns the signal from the upper limit switch. The front display module raises and lowers the screen with electric motors and makes several attempts when the signal is missing. The cause is an internal fault or a damaged module, and the display then does not fold down.
Possible causes
- Internal fault in the front display module (HLDF)
- Damaged front display module (HLDF)
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2Use the controls to check whether the display moves, and note whether it stops partway
- 3Check that the connector to the display module is secure and free from oxidation
- 4Have a workshop check the module, since the fault may lie inside it
Symptoms you may notice2
- The front display does not work
- The display will not fold down
