What does this fault code mean?
The front display receives the information it needs from the infotainment control module (ICM) over CAN communication. The fault code is set when communication with the ICM is lost, and fault tracing then lies in the module that sends the information.
Possible causes
- Fault in the transmitting control module, here the infotainment control module (ICM)
What you can do
- 1Read the fault codes in the infotainment control module (ICM) and remedy them there
- 2Check that the fuses are intact
- 3Check the connectors to the display and the infotainment module for play and oxidation
- 4Clear the fault code and road test to see whether it returns
