What does this fault code mean?
Although the fault is named battery voltage, the display module compares its own system voltage with the one the central electronic module (CEM) sends. The code is only relevant to act on when it has been active for a longer time in the same driving cycle and you notice the display working worse. The cause is poor contact, oxidation or an open circuit in the connections.
Possible causes
- Contact resistance, oxidation or open circuit in the connections
What you can do
- 1Check that the relevant fuses are intact. Their location is in the owner's manual or on the cover of the fuse box
- 2Road test the car and check whether the display works worse, since the code only needs action then
- 3Check the connections at the display and the module for play, oxidation and contact resistance
- 4If there are no symptoms and the code does not return in the same driving cycle, clear it
Symptoms you may notice1
- The front display does not work
