Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:

What does this fault code mean?
The IAM unit reads the signal from the speaker in the left front door as too high. The fault is a short circuit from the signal wire to voltage, so the signal is stronger than it should be.
Possible causes
- Short circuit to voltage on the signal wire between the module and the speaker in the left front door
What you can do
- 1With the ignition off, check the connectors at the integrated audio module for contact resistance, play and oxidation
- 2Follow the signal wire towards the speaker in the left front door and look for chafing or spots where it may touch another wire
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire has no contact with voltage from another wire
- 4After the work, clear the fault code and check that it does not come back
Symptoms you may notice2
- No playback from the CD player
- No sound from the speakers
