What does this fault code mean?
The IAM unit reads the signal from the speaker in the right front door as too low. The signal wire is in contact with ground, meaning the car body, which pulls the signal down.
Possible causes
- Short circuit to ground on the signal wire between the module and the speaker in the right front door
What you can do
- 1With the ignition off, check the connectors at the integrated audio module for contact resistance, play and oxidation
- 2Follow the signal wire towards the speaker in the right front door and look for chafing spots where the cable may have reached the car body
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire has no contact with ground (the car body)
- 4After the work, clear the fault code and check that it does not come back
