What does this fault code mean?
The integrated audio module (IAM) registers too low an impedance in the speaker in the right front door. The fault may lie in the wires between the module and the speaker, where the signal wires may be short-circuited to each other, or in the speaker itself.
Possible causes
- Short circuit between the signal wires to the speaker in the right front door
- Internal fault in the speaker in the right front door
What you can do
- 1With the ignition off, check the connectors at the integrated audio module for contact resistance, play and oxidation
- 2Look for chafing and loose contacts along the signal wires between the module and the speaker in the right front door
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the signal wires are not short-circuited to each other
- 4If no wiring fault is found, have a workshop replace the speaker in the right front door
- 5After the work, clear the fault code and check that it does not come back
