What does this fault code mean?
The integrated audio module (IAM) has received an incorrect signal from the speaker in the right front door. The fault may come from the module itself, from the signal wires to the speaker, or from the speaker, so the wiring is checked first.
Possible causes
- Internal fault in the integrated audio module (IAM)
- Damaged signal wires to the speaker in the right front door
- Internal fault in the speaker in the right front door
What you can do
- 1Switch the ignition off, unplug the plug at the module and inspect the contacts for contact resistance, play and oxidation
- 2Follow the signal wire between the module and the speaker in the right front door and look for a short circuit or an open circuit
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the wire is not broken and has no contact with ground or voltage
- 4If no wiring fault is found, have a workshop replace the integrated audio module
- 5After the work, clear the fault code and check that it does not come back
