What does this fault code mean?
The integrated audio module (IAM) registers that no signal reaches the speaker in the left rear door on the signal wire. The signal does not get through to the speaker, so it goes silent.
Possible causes
- Open circuit on the signal wire between the module and the speaker in the left rear door
- Damaged speaker in the left rear door
What you can do
- 1With the ignition off, check the connectors at the integrated audio module for contact resistance, play and oxidation
- 2Follow the signal wire back to the speaker in the left rear door and look for breaks or loose joints
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire is not broken
- 4If no fault is found in the wire, have a workshop check and if needed replace the speaker in the left rear door
- 5After the work, clear the fault code and check that it does not show again
