What does this fault code mean?
The IAM unit registers an incorrect signal from the speaker in the left rear door. The fault may be in the module, in the signal wires or in the speaker, and the wiring is checked first.
Possible causes
- Internal fault in the integrated audio module (IAM)
- Damaged signal wires to the speaker in the left rear door
- Internal fault in the speaker in the left rear door
What you can do
- 1With the ignition off, check the connectors at the integrated audio module for contact resistance, play and oxidation
- 2Follow the signal wires to the speaker in the left rear door and look for damage and short circuits
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire is not broken or short-circuited to ground
- 4If no wiring fault is found, have a workshop check the module and replace it if needed
- 5After the work, clear the fault code and check that it does not come back
