What does this fault code mean?
The integrated audio module (IAM) registers too low an impedance in the speaker in the right rear door. The fault may lie in the two signal wires, which are then short-circuited to each other, or in the speaker itself.
Possible causes
- Short circuit between the signal wires to the speaker in the right rear door
- Internal fault in the speaker in the right rear door
What you can do
- 1With the ignition off, check the connectors at the integrated audio module for contact resistance, play and oxidation
- 2Follow the two signal wires to the speaker in the right rear door and look for chafing where they may have come into contact with each other
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the signal wires are not short-circuited to each other
- 4If no wiring fault is found, have a workshop check the speaker and replace it if it is damaged
- 5After the work, clear the fault code and check that it does not come back
